We are small town farmers who grew an enormous amount of love for our feathered friends!! we specialize in breeding, raising, and rescuing birds. Our farm is very sacred to us and we go above and beyond for our customers; We love our animals and you should too! all birds mentioned below ARE available and if there is any request we are happy to consider them!

what are Silkies

The Silkie is a breed of chicken named for its atypically fluffy plumage, which is said to feel like silk and satin. The breed has several other unusual qualities, such as black skin and bones, blue earlobes, and five toes on each foot, whereas most chickens only have four.

Primary use: Exhibition

Advantages

Silkies can be entered into poultry shows, which can become a fun pastime to get involved in, and they also provide a natural form of pest control as they gobble up any insects they find.

they make fantastic pets, can be cuddled, calm around children. Perfect garden hens, they won't scratch up your lawn and flowers. Light feathered large fowl but a small breed and need little space. Lay small white eggs up to 5 a week, which are low in cholesterol. Also the perfect indoor pets.

The Polish or Poland is a European breed of crested chickens known for its remarkable crest of feathers. The oldest accounts of these birds come from The Netherlands; their exact origins are unknown, however. In addition to combs, they are adorned with large crests that nearly cover the entirety of the head.

Our frizzles

The Frizzle is a breed of chicken with characteristic curled or frizzled plumage. While the frizzle gene can be seen in many breeds, such as the Pekin and Polish, the Frizzle is recognised as a distinct breed in a number of European countries and Australia.

Egg size: Small

Temperament: Hardy

Recognized variety: Blue, Black, White

Egg color: White, Tinted

Adult male weight (lbs.): 7 – 8

Adult female weight (lbs.): 5 – 6

This breed is not aggressive and does well with other breeds. Frizzles are friendly and sweet. This breed is known to be broody and make excellent mothers.

Our Ameraucana's

what are Ameraucana's

The Ameraucana is an American breed of domestic chicken. It was developed in the United States in the 1970s, and derives from Araucana chickens brought from Chile. It was bred to retain the blue-egg gene but eliminate the lethal alleles of the parent breed. There are both standard-sized and bantam versions.

Temperament: Broody

Recognized variety: Wheaten, Blue, Black, White, Silver

Egg color: Blue

Fun Facts


  • They lay blue eggs and can vary in shade of blue.
  • Their pea combs generally do not get frostbitten because they are small, making them a great breed for cooler areas.
  • They are known for laying 270 eggs a year.
  • They are known for their beards and muffs.

Our Olive eggers

what are olive eggers

he phrase “Olive Egger” refers to a chicken that lays green colored eggs. This can be achieved by combining two breeds of chickens, one that carries a blue egg laying gene, and another that carries a brown egg laying gene. Put those two together and ta da you have beautiful green eggs!

Fun Facts

Generally the positive temperament of both hens and roosters makes Olive Eggers easy and beginner-friendly. They are well known for being docile and friendly and typically do not create much of a fuss. Olive Egger Roosters are actually known to be quite docile too.

The Rhode Island Red is an American breed of domestic chicken. It is the state bird of Rhode Island. It was developed there and in Massachusetts in the late nineteenth century, by cross-breeding birds of Oriental origin such as the Malay with brown Leghorn birds from Italy.

Fun Facts

The biggest drawback to having a brood of Rhode island reds is their naturally aggressive nature. There's no hiding the fact that they are one of the more aggressive breeds, and they definitely don't like to be handled by humans too much.

The Naked Neck is a breed of chicken that is naturally devoid of feathers on its neck and vent. The breed is also called the Transylvanian Naked Neck, as well as the Turken. The name "Turken" arose from the mistaken idea that the bird was a hybrid of a chicken and the domestic turkey.
